After six months of creating my own alcohol tinctures of various plants, I just found out all my time and money has been wasted in my efforts to creare my own kitchen cabinet pharmacy to take to whatever S.E. Asian country I feel moved to hang my hat. The regulations of several nation states and airlines prohibit carrying/checking alcohol more than 140 proof (70%) and I made mine with either Schmirnoff blue label vodka (50%), Bacardi Puerto Rican rum (75+%), or a combination. Not only can I not prove the alcohol strength of my tonic medicines [they are taken by the drop or spoonful] only commercially labelled booze is permitted, presumably because of inability to prove whether it pass the non-flammable test.

So, now I have to sell/trade or use when I come back to the west.

Drat!
