Sunday Market , do you mean the one in JJ market where sell fish 'n aquarium stuff ,right?

Sofitel Central Plaza-Ladprao ( 3-5 kms from there) , take the subway to JJ market station

(anyhow i think u can stay any hotel (near BTS/Subway station) it will be fine (especially subway ,the station is so closed with "sunday market"

thanx for the info, i'll look up for hotels in that area! :D and i'll look for info about your hotel too

Hi meanguy

Chatuchak is in fact open all week but on a much smaller scale.

Anyway it is easily reached as it has its own BTS and subway (MRT) station Mo Chit

Hope your sense of direction is good as it is massive and easy to get lost.

If it's within your budget then Sofitel would be your best option. Definitely within walking distance from JJ market. To get to the market, come out the hotel, walk over the flyover across Vipawadee road, walk through JJ park to the bottom end and the market is there.

As has already been said in this thread, JJ market is right next to Chatujak Park (subway) and Morchit (skytrain) so access from central Bangkok using public transport isn't much of a problem.

Is a hotel near Chatachuk really necessary?

If you have a hotel on Sukhumvit or the Siam area the most you would most likely pay for the ride on the Skytrain would be around 40 baht.
