I have a citibank account in the USA, but no account in Thailand. Can i walk into the Citibank branch in BKK and make a cash deposit to my USA account?

Try and let us know, i have often wondered the same thing but am pretty sure they will not let you. The banking rules here can be very strange and something as straight forward as that has too much comon sense for them to allow.

I had a crack in my Citibank USA ATM card and tried to get it replaced at Bangkok Citibank. They looked at me like I was crazy. I might as well have gone to any other bank for all the help I got.

Singnificantly different sytems in place even between Citi in Singapore and Citi Thailand, for example, Thailand 4 digit pin number on ATM card, Singapore 6 digit pin

Citi BKK not the sharpest knives in the drawer,

As routine as it may sound, you are technically now transferring money out of Thailand. Their are limits on those amounts, not withstanding all the other problems posters have been pointing out.
