Travel Advisor has a BING map that places the Phuket Town night market near the Metropole Hotel. But the reviews have a GPS location that is nowhere near there (7.88028,98.365528)

Think you're talking about Naka Market, which I believe only opens at the weekend. From Central Festival heading south on the bypass road, turn left at the next set of traffic lights. It's a few hundred metres on the right.
