[Myanmar] Burma To Axe Thai Press From Blacklist

Burmese President Thein Sein has pledged to delete 15 Thai journalists and columnists from a media blacklist made in 2002, Thai Defense Minister Sukumpol Suwanatat confirmed on Tuesday. The names would be removed as soon as the list and the photos of those involved are received by the Burmese authorities, reported The Bangkok Post on Wednesday. The blacklist was formed 10 years ago after northern border relations between Thailand and Burma turned sour and the Thai army accused the Burmese government of being behind drugs made by the United Wa State Army in Shan State.
