Thai Bike To Cambodia

Featured Replies

Now I read somewhere on the net that when you take a Thai registered bike to Cambodia, that you only get a "visa/export permit" for bike for 1 month! So what would happen if I was away for eg:- 6 months? Or as I have read and experienced myself at border crossings, would be easy enough just to ride through without all the formalities. Any advice would be appreciated.

I am not sure what all the legalities are but I would post that question on GT riders. Those guys are always doing cross border trips into Cambodia and Lao

Is the bike illegal after that 1st month ? Ok to just pay the 2k fine when you leave but what if you have an accident after that 1st legal month??
