*****Moderators: this is an article about potential economic problems in Vietnam regarding state owned and run industries. I would have liked to have placed in the banking and economy topic...but that topic is stated as being regarding "topics regarding business and banking in Thailand....so I placed it here in the Southeast Asia Forum instead.

If you wish you may move this article to that business and banking topic...your choice.*********

whistling.gif This is a long article about possible economic problems in Vietnam with state owned and operated insdustries...and specifically about Vietnam's state-owned electricity industry and its debt burben.

Rather than copy from that article...I'll just post the web address here,

http://www.newsdaily.com/stories/bre87m12f-us-vietnam-statefirms/

Basic gist of the topic....A warning that Vietnam's state owned electricity industry is facing a massive debt load which possibly will slow down signifigantly the rate of economic growth in Vietnam.
