Need 11 Days Extention On A Non "o" Visa

Probably already covered somewhere but I couldnt find it....I have a Non "O" visa and I have to leave the country on the 23rd Sept 2012, due to bad planning on my part my flight to the Uk is on the 4th of Oct, so I need an 11 day extention.... Is this possible at immigration or do I have to do another border run ?

1. Normally you would only be allowed to "extend" it for 7 days and you would have to have a ticket showing that you are exiting Thailand during those 7 days. It's not really and extension, just time to "clear out"!

2. If you have a Thai family you can extend it for 60 days.

3. If you meet the criteria for either marriage or retirement, you can extend it for 1 year.

4. It can also be extended due to medical reason if you have a letter from a doctor stating that you cannot trave5 Otherwise, a border run is in order unless you want to risk overstay and pay the 500 baht/day fine.

Thanks for that... so I take it that if i go with my Thai wedding certificate and my childs Thai birth certificate and my e ticket I should get 60 days.... anything else i need ?

I had,

Copy of yellow house book

Copy of wedding cert

Copy of the entry of the wedding from the amphur

copy of childs birth cert

copy of my visa stamp

copy of latest entry stamp

Copy of photo page in passport

copy of the immigration thingy, stapled in my passport

Photo

all originals and 1900.00 baht, done and dusted within the hour

And don't forget to take your wife with you, and preferrably kids if not to school.

Did it years ago, needed:

1. Copy of marriage certificate

2. Copy of wife's blue book

3. Copy of wife's ID

4. Copy of bio page of passport

5. Copy of Visa page

6. Copy of page with last entry stamp

7. Copy of departure card, front and back

8. Wife - not copy, real one!

I didn't have a copy of the entry of the wedding in the amphur register and wasn't asked, but maybe I was just lucky! Good luck!

TM 7 form with picture and 1900 baht!

If you only have a single entry visa you could also get a re-entry permit that would give you the remainder of the extension when you return.

correct me if i am wrong ..., but you could do just a border run and come in one exemption depending your nationality , by air 30 days , by land 15 days
