Forum Top Five "pet Hates". What're Yours?

Featured Replies

Whiners

You mean "winners". Use the spell checker, eh?

SC

No, I meant whiners. For example, people that constantly whine about what they hate.

What about winnowers?

People that sort the wheat from the chaff?

Or winers that brew stuff like elderflower?

Or whyners who are always asking questions?

People who write bath instead of baht.

People who fail to recognize me as an authority on whatever topic currently running.

People that say something in jest and then explain it was it's a joke on the very next line.

The ability of some nut cases to turn almost any topic into an anti Pattaya thread. Folllowed by some goof saying what ever do you mean, duh!

You mean like....."sent from my Dingleberry"..............biggrin.png

I've typed over 15000 posts using my dingle.

That answers the prolific poster question as well.

People that are so obsessive about certain Thai political figures that they cannot reply to any thread without a comment about said characters.

Example

Thread topic": My hamster has dingleberrys"

Reply: "Oh really, maybe Yingluck will like them better then her burberry boots?"

Apologies for the above post; I wasn't trying to preempt the trolling opportunity for some banter.

Those who feel it is desirable to plant anti-personnel mines around their property for their protection .

Speaking of which, I just watched the movie 'Marley and Me' ... fun movie and the dog was great.

.

Book is ok, movie is complete dross.

Hachiko is much better.

Agree for Marley

Haven't seen Hachiko , but for a movie about a dog story, my favorite is Quill.

What I personally hate is people highjacking a thread to start a personal conversation totally unrelated to the OP subject.

So rude !

+1 These people are such legends in their own minds !

Those who feel it is desirable to plant anti-personnel mines around their property for their protection .

Do people have personal property on TVF? Where shall we leave our belongings on this forum whilst talking?

1. Hamsters

2. Mice

3. Goldfish

4. Budgies

5. Ferrets

1 Spelling a grammar police, get over it. For some of us it's type when you have a minute.

2 Those that when losing a discussion, rant.

3 Rose tinted Glasses brigade with every post they make. (Although I prefer them to the bitter expats by a mile)

4 Anyone who disagrees with me, I'm perfect infinitely superior, and have a his o wife who has uncles that are generals etc That I met when I was a SBS agent on a mission to smuggle tainted Ivory from the evil WA Army.

People who can’t spell, can’t write, can’t form a thought or a question and think that is okay. Oh, and those who think there is something wrong with those who can.thumbsup.gif

You are so correct! In a thread about Viagra I read this, "No doubt P.M.Yingluck will call for a general erection. That will be pretty hard-on the Democrats."

People who start topics with titles like "have you ever" or "where can I".

Or any topic titles that give you no clue about what the thread will discuss.

1. Hamsters

2. Mice

3. Goldfish

4. Budgies

5. Ferrets

I can't believe you don't like ferrets. Don't we all enjoy taking our ferret for a run?

I'm sorry I can't find the relevant thread, due to the lateness of the hour and the weight of the eyelids; perhaps some of our bright-eyed and bushy-tailed members might care to look for it. Or perhaps they might prefer to steer well clear of ferrets and any discussion thereof...

I have only one complaint but I can't discuss it here.

No...hang on....make that two complaints. :P

No free speech

You can say what you want. No-one;'s stopping you. It might get deleted, and attract a ban for yourself, but feel free to say what you want.

If you're that bothered about it, I'm a little surprised about you signing up to the rules when you enrolled.

Remember that what you post on here is not just your own speech; its what the forum propagates, as well. You can say what you want. ut the forum retains the right not to propagate it.

You won't find that anywhere unless you open up notepad and have a go. Public forums have an obligation to their members to keep things civil and readable, and to keep things within the law.

Inane threads. coffee1.gif

You might as well stop reading Thaivisa, then.

Ah no ... not exactly, just yours.

Actually I thought that this question would be about animals.

Speaking of which, I just watched the movie 'Marley and Me' ... fun movie and the dog was great.

a dog lover wouldn't call it a "fun" movie!

People who complane about others speling especailly given the number of people who don't have english as there first language.

People who defend those who cannot be bothered to use a spellchecker. By using MS Word to type your message to the World, one could check for spelling and grammatical errors before using the cut and paste facility to post. Those for whom English is not their native tongue could thus improve their fund of knowledge. The incorrect use of the English language is primarily due to sheer laziness.

People who continually talk about their own country, and start threads that always lead to talking about their own country.

If their own country is so appealing why do they leave it.

Those who refer to their wife as "wifey".

"The wifey said"....LOL

I don't mind "Wifey's World" videos. That chick is HOT!
