Transfer From Airport To Karon And Back

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am going to phuket with a thai friend next week, for just one night. Arriving early tuesday and flying out wednesday afternoon.

What the most practical and economical way of getting from the airport to karon, and from karon to airport?

- Should I pre-book a car and driver?

- Are taxi's readily available at reasonable prices?

- If I get one of those touts that are stanging by the exit, what should I expect to pay?

- Would hiring a car and driving myself be of any benefit?

Thai friend will do all the haggling etc. - I just want to know what is the fair price to expect to pay.

Thanks in advance

CM

In my opinion exit airport door, turn right, walk about 15m to the meter taxi stand. Pay 100 baht airport charge at the booth and pay on meter on arrival Karon (about 400 baht).

That's perfect. Cheers. Will do that.

If you are staying at a hotel check with them for cost, tell them how much you are willing to pay up front via email
