the organizers should really get people to pay in advance so you can plan / pay for it. you are going to get 500 people saying they are going and only half turn up.

the serious ones will gladly transfer you the cash in advance. if they dont show up, you wont be out of pocket.

alternatively, what happens if you have 100 people on the confirmed list above and 400 turn up? you have really successful mess. just my opinion.
