A delegation from the Rangoon Regional Committee of Burma’s ruling Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) visited the North Korean embassy on Sept. 7 to pay its respects to two former leaders of the country’s repressive Stalinist regime, according to a report by the Korean Central News Agency on Tuesday. The USDP delegation laid flowers before full-length portraits of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea founder Kim Il Sung and his deceased son Kim Jong Il, the North Korean mouthpiece reported. Nepal was the only other foreign country to mark to DPRK’s 64th anniversary.
