Hi, I'm looking to buy a tuk tuk and have it custom built/designed. Any ideas where and how I can get this done? and approx how much this would cost? I heard I would need to go to Bangkok to speak to garages there, is this true? If so, which garages could do this?

there was a thread a whil back on "How To Register A New Samlor Kreuang/ Tuk Tuk?" in which a few guys talk about where they sourced their tuk tuks and the challenge in getting them registered. Have a look to see if there is anything in there that helps you.

Can't be too tough, seems like plenty of hotels are buying new ones,...

Simple1 cheers, for that you're right Google is a friend don't know why I didn't think of that. I guess because I thought it would be a 'Thai thing' so wouldn't turn up in a google search in english. Anyhows........have contact Track of the Tiger and post any updates on this thread.

Yeah, can't be too difficult as lots of hotels have them. This is actually for my husband who's Thai, and he reckons one way to register it is if we set up a company, then it could be part of the company's assets or something like that ?? I guess this is what the hotels must be doing?
