Boat Aground On Koh Som

Featured Replies

There is a white boat aground on Koh Som. One of my security guys said that it overturned.

In the fading light it is difficult to see, but the boat looks like she is called ULLA.

It may just have been ripped from its moorings, but if anyone knows the owner - please check that he/she is ok. I would hate to think that someone is stuck on Koh Som - or worse, in the water.

Looks like another boat is in trouble around that area.

Dragged anchor onto reef, no real damage and noone on board. Think they are waiting for high tide tonight to float it back off. Thats not the one on Koh Som im talking about.

Well the boat is still stuck on Koh Som.

It looks like an outrigger thingy (Sorry - not nautical.)

there is a main hull, and then a 'bit on the side!'

It is not big - I would guess at less than 5 metres, but difficult to tell through the binos.

I guess that the owner is either away from the island, or does not know where it is.

Does anyone know how to connect a boat to its owner?

If the boat is registered then Port Authority in Nathon should be able to help. It is located on the seatran pier opposite where you buy pasenger tickets from in the undercover part.
