Is There Any Problem With Mobile Phone Internet ?

Featured Replies

any one has problem with mobile internet because of heavy raining , i used DTAC and cant use internet and open the application like line and whatsapp.

anybody got the same?

Rain won't normally effect dtac like it does satellite - if you have signal you would normally get service. Power can effect the tower as they reduce output if it is on battery mode do to power fail, but still if your near enough to the tower to get signal it should continue to work.

I have never seen a weather related outage with cell phone service yet. In fact around here rain helps as many think they will die if holding a phone in the rain and turn them off freeing up the bandwidth for me.

Heavy rain and/or high humidity will affect any em transmissions, especially if accompanied by lightning. I have seen my Dtac blink during storms when a tower has gone down and my phone quickly grabs the next-nearest tower, but obviously the speed drops a good bit when that happens.

I use a signal booster, without it I couldn't pick up a signal, being up country. I have noticed that the signal isn't as good when theres heavy cloud cover, or lightning. As someone else says, it also depends on which towers are effected. I'm on 1-2-call.

The question should be: has anyone no problem with internet?
