Major Rd Delays C Kong To C Saen Route A

Now that the C Kong immigration does very little for falangs 90 day reports from as far as W Kaen Thoeng etc have 2-3 journey to Mae Sai and back to Toeng if dealing with the driving Office

About 4 weeks ago I found the long pot-holed detour 3km east of C Saen started and last week still there while the new bridge etc dine.Do allow extra time the surfae s very poor and you could arrive too late.The 12km detour is on narrow lanes behind big trucks with few passing places and so dep in dry sand your wheels spin.

When the bridge opens it'll be fater to drive to China (tho of course a trip to M Sai first for the re-entry!!)

PS the detour heading N comes out onthe C Saen Mae Chan expressway under construction.

On the return the counter intuitive westward diversion has tiny signs in Thai only
