Hanoi, Oct 3 (VNA) -- The Vietnamese Women’s Museum has been ranked first among 80 attractive tourism destinations in Hanoi in 2012 by the world’s largest travel website “TripAdvisor”.

Visitors to the website ranked the museum 4.5 out of the 5 stars rating over the past 12 months, naming it the “Most Attractive Tourism Destination” in Hanoi.

The Vietnamese Women’s Museum was founded in 1987 as an entity within the Vietnam Women's Union.

It is a community repository of cultural and historical knowledge about Vietnamese women’s lives across the nation’s 54 ethnic community groups.

The museum is also a centre for cultural exchange with women from other nations with the goal of fostering ‘equality, development and peace’.

TripAdvisor currently operates in 30 nations and has created the world’s biggest tourism community. The website welcomes around 60 million visitors per month and receives more than 75 million comments and feedbacks. (VNA)
