wantan
If it has greenbook, plates, basic insurance and the tax is paid, than it should be legal for the road. You should have: - greenbook - tax-sticker (may be on the bike) - insurance voucher (usually a small piece of paper with insurance data) Look at the dates on this papers to make sure that everything is still valid. And you should have a driving license of course
canopus1969
And remember the standard Government insurance is not worth the paper it's written on - get a minimum of 3rd Class voluntary insurance !
ThailandBert
I'm sorry And remember the standard Government insurance is not worth the paper it's written on - get a minimum of 3rd Class voluntary insurance ! I'm sorry but it is worth the paper it is written on. What do you expect for around 200 baht ? it provides the rider with the minimum 3rd class insurance to ride the bike on the road. It is what 90%or more of scooter riders have. If you have a big bike and want first class insurance you are looking at 15- 20,000 Baht.
