Haha...well, you're of the UK persuasion, I presume? You are so WRONG. American English is a vast improvement over what you chaps speak.

Remember...just because it's OLDER, doesn't make it BETTER. Doctors used to apply leeches to patients...now they've moved on. The English language has evolved. DEAL with it.

I believe the Americans call aluminium "aluminum" because it was felt that they couldn't cope with the extra syllable. That's not evolution!

English is English. Assuming the Americans just use English words with a different spelling, or in a different context - sidewalk/pavement for example, there shouldn't be a problem.

If the Americans want a new language 'yank-glish?' then perhaps they'd better wonder if the rest of the world will follow.,

Does anybody know if things like Air Traffic Control speak English or American?
