Hi, I am trying to rent an apartment or small house of some sort, for about 4 months without a long term lease. It would be nice if it was furnished, had a balcony.. maybe a building with a bit of common space including, perhaps a pool (that would be a bonus anyways)

I would like to live either inside the moat anywhere, maybe by the University, or that area maybe behind big Saturday market area.

What is a realist price to get something small but bigger than a hotel room, but still small, with a nice feel to ?

Bigger than a hotel room means 42 m² and the areas you describe short term will set you back about 9 -12,000 including internet and TV. On top of that you'll be paying water 25 baht/m³ and electricity at about 7 baht a unit.
