Like 'Iomatopo' above said, Beware spending money with your present system. Though NOT confirmed, in fact denied by CAT, the system you (and I) are using could be obsolete soon now that CAT are in bed with TRue and have a new system.

The new service CAT supplies is not available to all previous customers. I for one canot use, I have been told, because no coverage for new system in my area. So now looking for alternatives in case I get cut off at the end of the year.

I went into the the local CAT office after reading a thread on here about CDMA stopping, they laughed and said no way, then one week later whilst in there paying a bill they said sorry they didnt know !! and YES it would be stopping and suggested I take advantage of current promotion for 3G. The old dongle I had would be useless as would the house telephone.

I would have to buy all new. So, I cancelled the house phone, we all have mobiles anyway, and bought the new 3g dongle and they gave me a new sim. Got home, connected it, and guess what......it was actually TRUEMOVE H. Had I known that I wouldnt have bothered with CAT at all, just simply got what I needed directly from True and dropped CAT totally, which I may well do if the package prices change in the near future as the dongle can sill be used.

The "new" system has a sting in the tail, whereas you can have unlimited use for 590 baht, it drops in speed to a mere 380kb after 4Gb of download,, and resets again the next month, so no more unllimited downloading etc if you want to maintain a reasonable speed.

What a load of nonsense, talk about the left hand not knowing what the right is doing.

So, if you are out in the sticks like me, have no "landline" then you need to think about your options as downloading any torrent TV etc is now out the window with a 4GB limit each month. I dont think it will be long before other companies follow suit on that one either.
