I have been carrying two phones because everyone has my AIS phone number. I have setup the call divert on the Nokia to send the calls to my Truemove-H Android phone. It works OK but the question is who pays for the calls? Are the networks going to double dip by charging the caller and my AIS number? The Nokia is actually calling my Android phone.

It seems to be quite an ordeal to transfer my AIS number to Truemove-H. Has anyone been successful transferring their phone number to another network?

The callers pays for the initial call, you pay for the divert.

Port the AIS number in to TrueMove H. 99 baht. Done.

Thanks for that information.

That's pretty much what I thought. At least that will work until I see about transferring my AIS number. I expect the number transfer will likely be quite an ordeal. Dealing with one network is bad enough and now trying to get AIS and Truemove-H to work together may be much worse. TIT.

I've ported numbers three (3) times. It was hardly challenging or an "ordeal". You really only have to deal with one service provider, in your case TrueMove H. OK, well maybe it will be an ordeal. wink.png

Just make sure your account is in good standing at AIS, and that your credentials are registered with AIS at least a few weeks before porting, I know some people have gotten tangled up because they had an older passport number - after having subsequently renewed their passport - associated with their account. I bet you can handle it.

You could of course just give everyone your new number, but that may be too simple?

It's the donor who is most likely to play difficult .......... They simply make it as hard as possible for you to leave them. The porting process itself is automated, so if AIS approve the move, your as good as done.
