With alcohol, the effect on the system is pretty much as standard insofar as it is a regular "hit" if you will. The danger of uncontrolled narcotics is that the effect on the system is unknown until it is too late. Only an imbecile would argue that narcotics are 'safer' or 'less harmful' than alcohol. I am just more knowledgeable on the topic than you clearly are. it would seem to be that my experiences that are being attacked here, the difference being that i am claiming they are only one set experiences and not definitive i do not wish denigrate your experience but merely point out that it has left you unable to discuss the issue without letting emotion cloud your argument. I have purposely not shared details of my experience, only some i the conclusions i have formed as a result of it and i have no need to get specific here. As an aside, Ecstasy did not kill leah betts, it has been clearly shown it was the vast amount of water she consumed while on the drug that killed her. to quote: Leah had been at home with friends and had not been dancing, yet consumed about 7 litres (12 pints) of water in less than 90 minutes, resulting in water intoxication and hyponatremia, which in turn led to serious swelling of the brain, irreparably damaging it. However, SIADH caused by the MDMA, reducing her ability to urinate, may have exacerbated her hyponatremia. At the inquest it was stated by toxicologist Professor John Henry, who had previously warned the public of the danger of MDMA causing death by dehydration,[10] "If Leah had taken the drug alone she might well have survived. When I was in Cambodia last year I could easily have "adopted" any one of several pretty young (legal age) things by providing them only with room and board and the bare necessities of life.
