Nasal Polyps...does Anyone Know Of A Cortisteroid Spray/pill Seller, Help..!

Hi,...

I have found out that i have nasal Polyps, i was hoping that somebody in Koh Samui may have the same symptoms as me,and could give me some advice.Without having surgery to remove them here, which im sure would be mega pricey in Samui..{ ive also researched that they come back again,in 50% of patients } the best option is to use Cortisteroid nasal sprays..{ in the UK i used NASONEX }...or even a Cortisteroid pill.

The problem im having is that none of the Pharmacys ive been to so far ,seem to have any steroid sprays,,ive tried all the others, yet sadly they did nothing to help.Does anybody on here know of a place where i can get hold of a decent spray ..???

Thanks in advance

It's probably one of those medications that needs to prescribed by a doctor... also different pharmacies here have different licenses and suppliers.

I would go and check and ask at the Pharmacy at Nanton Hospital, ask at the Pharmacy first, to see if they have... (Have it written down, rather than trying to tell them what you want),

If they do have it ... you'll probably need to see a doctor first.... then you need to register first at counter one, which is next to the pharmacy in the main lobby.

Try to avoid going on Mondays and Fridays, as there are usually more people in line... but never takes more than 3 or 4 hours to go through the process. Either go at 8 am or 1 pm ... although, afternoons usually not so busy!

Nanton hospital does have some medications, the private hospitals do not have ... ...wink.png

Seeing a doctor there is not that expensive...

Good luck!

Hi appydayz,

the small pharmacy in maenam, at the street corner where the soi goes down to the sea does have nasonex.(last year she had, but can/will order of course)

but the price will be slightly higher than in europe because its imported.

no need to consult a doc first.

(or you go down the soi 150 meters and see "gai´s pharmacy" there, she is like a doc)

regards

So the polyps became smaller with the rhinocort??

When i use nasonex they reduced.

Price for nasonex,if i remember correct, was about 1200 baht/ 18 gramms.

Yes....its now 7 hrs since i first sprayed the Rhinocort....large balloon like polyps that i could see in the mirror, have now shrunk ,and dissappeared, the after taste of the Rhinocort has the same taste as Nasonex too....the bottle size is120 doses......64mcg dose....give it a whirl.

I have polyps and use nasonex plus a saline spray, which you can buy in the pharmacy or simply mix water with salt and use with an eye dropper.

Hi........So where are you buying your Nasonex, and how much baht do you pay?...thanks
