How To Find A Airlines From/to An Airport

Featured Replies

I have to fly to Nanjing in China.

My guess is, that there is no direct flight from Bangkok.

How do I find out which airline is flying from where to this airport. My guess is I have to fly to Hongkong or Shanghai. But that is just my guess.

When searching on the internet I get tons of nonsense promotion.

How is the professional way to figure it out?

Look for the webiste of the airport, it should have information about the airlines using it.

The shortest overall trip duration/least scary airlines might call for BKK-HKG-NKG, but obviously not the cheapest.

Maybe TG/EK/CX to HKG and KA (Dragon Air) for HKG-NKG.

Yes, ITA (now Google), but you cannot purchase there so perhaps only useful for identifying flights/carriers/routings etc.

Great, where did you find this? This is exactly what I need.....

Try this -coffee1.gif Google: flights BKK to NKG:

.000124 millisecs later - a myriad of choices from Expedia, Kayak, Wego, eBookers...........

Now that wasn't so hard was it?cheesy.gif

Identifying potential routings/carriers/prices/availability is of course the easiest part of the challenge.

Actually purchasing a ticket may prove more challenging - it can be difficult to find internet booking engines which accept your preferred form of payment, and have relationships with potential carriers.

In some cases it may be best to work with a travel agent. I'd submit if you do any reasonable amount of travel, especially intra-Asia, having a reliable travel agent can reap significant rewards.
