THAI to rise up its airfare from Bangkok to Africa by 5 percent

The committee of Civil Aviation has approved the proposal of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) to increase its fares from Bangkok to Africa by 5 percent. The adjustment will be effective from tomorrow onwards.

Transport Minister Pongsak Raktapongpaisal (พงษ์ศักดิ์ รักตพงศ์ไพศาล) revealed after having a meeting with the committee of Civil Aviation that the committee has approved the nation carrier to increase its airfares from Bangkok to Africa by 5 percent and 2% to 7% for the Middle East routes.

Mr. Pongsak added that a sub-committee team has been set up to consider the airfares, and the team will be authorized to look after the airfares without proposing the matter to the committee.
