Featured Replies

Officials from Thailand and Burma will meet on Wednesday for their first formal discussions on border issues since November 2005, according to a  report by The Bangkok Post. The two-day meeting will take place in the Burmese capital Naypyidaw and will be co-chaired by Vasin Teeravechyan, an adviser to Thailand’s Foreign Ministry, and Burma’s Deputy Foreign Minister Zin Yaw. Meanwhile, Burmese President Thein will meet with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra in Bangkok on Wednesday to discuss the Dawei deep-sea port in southern Burma, which is being developed by a Thai company.
