A retirement care facility is due to open in Chiang Mai in January. The facility will have both on-site carers and nurses and will cater for different levels of required care, starting with those who are relatively independent but want the security of on-site care as well as the provision of services such as meals and laundry. The facility will also cater for short term stays allowing those who wish to recover from a medical procedure or an accident to be cared for, or even a temporary position whilst family carers vacation. The resort is in the tranquil Maerim Valley and has villas set amongst the extensive gardens. Rooms in the villas will be alarmed to the central career/nurse facility. The care resort aims to provide on-site activities for it's guests and has 2 swimming pools, a sauna, fitness room and its own spa. After your PM chat with Sheryl, can you please return to the forum with information? I'm sure I'm not the only one besides Sheryl who has the same question.

We would take someone in this position but we are not a medical facility. If a lot of medical care is necessary, i.e. over and above what nurses and a visiting doctor can give, there are possibly better places. As a place for someone to spend with care and some nursing then we are an available choice.

Actually, there aren't better places; there aren't any places (for those who wish tio avoid hospitalization) this is a huge gap and big need.
