What Do I Need To Western Union Money To America?

Featured Replies

I am working in Vietnam but coming to Thailand on Tuesday. I get paid right before my flight and will not have enough time to western union my money home in Vietnam, and would like to do it in Bangkok. I will be on a tourist visa and was wondering if that would be a problem? I know in vietnam, you need have a work visa, have proof of where you got the money from and that you paid taxes but I was wondering if that would be the same in Thailand?

Im going to be travelling for 2 months and do not want to carry around that much cash on hand.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

there's a Western Union just around the corner from Nana plaza on Sukumvit (sp?) that sent $ for me on a tourist visa without grief.

turn right toward soi 7 and it's about 100 yards down street on Sukumvit. Same side of street as Nana plaza

thanks so much! will check it out when I get there on tuesday :)

If there's a delay, suggest you see about opening up a bank account here. Foreign Currency account, I presume. Might be handy in the future, too.

As long as you are under $10,000US there won't be a problem. You just need passport, and the cash. There are Western Unions all over Bangkok.
