Trevor25222
I want to buy a top-quality, locally-made leather wallet and coin purse without the hassle and ripoffs associated with street vendors. Which retain outlets would be best to find such products? Central Festival is one which comes to mind but at premium prces. Thanks.

OMGImInPattaya
All the Findig outlets around town sell a nice variety of high-quality Thai made (I believe) leather goods, including shoes, wallets, belts, etc. I bought a couple nice wallets there awhile back for like B300 each (they were on sale). Trevor25222
I believe Carrefour on Central Road is Big C now. Where is Phatthuwan? And Robinson in Pattaya? Thanks for replies.
Trevor25222
Central stores only sell named brands like Lacoste at ฿2000-3000. Hard to compare as they're all on different islands instead of like-for-like side-by side; I hate that kind of setup with different salesgirls pushing their own brand. Findig ... (opens 10.30h to 20.30h) yes, not a bad selection of leather and a few in plastic at reasonable fixed prices. Salesman said there are several 'grades' of leather goods: A, B, C ... Also bought one at MBK Bangkok on the ground floor.
Trevor25222
Findig stores in Pattaya open and close at different times. The busier locations on Beach Road stay open late. At the upper entrance level to Big C on Pattaya Central Road there are stalls selling bags, open until 9 pm. Big C is open until 11 pm.
