Living Cost In Yangon

Featured Replies

Hi all new to this part of the forum would like to say Hi and to ask about the cost of living over there.

Thanks for all the help

O should say. Living there mth to mth not a holiday.

Hi Kiggs,

Perhaps you could give us some more info to get some replies.

Where will you live in Yangon?

Serviced apartment, private rental, hotel?

Living near your work place will reduce transport costs (Taxis are cheap, but they add up and should be factored in)

Hope this helps

cheers

Ye sorry it was a bit vague.

I have been offered a job over there with accommodation and transportation. I'm just trying to get a grasp of how much is needed each mth. There will be me and my wife and that's it. We well I don't bother with all the fancy clubs and restaurants in the uk but it is nice once a mth to be able to get out.

So ye basically home cooking 80% of the time the odd night out beer and a smoke.

If I could add that the condo will only be there for a short time not through work its just want to factor it in if for what ever reason my wife doesn't like it and we have to move.

Thanks for any input you might have.

Thanks already to the people that have mailed and pm
