Good article from the WSJ:- http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324784404578144944078046734.html

I laughed at the following part:-

"I assure you that all the projects now in Myanmar will fail," said John Van Oost, founder and managing partner of Yishan Capital Partners, an investment firm with offices in Singapore and Indonesia that specializes in real estate. Land prices already are too inflated there, he said, and it isn't yet clear which local partners are reliable

His quote about projects failing amused me, and he may well turn out to be correct. However, there's no doubt in my mind that the last sentence of the passage above is 100% accurate.

Well, as they say: High risk, high return. Many people only hear "high return" and don't understand the "high risk" part.

Personally, I believe that Myanmar will experience a "gold rush" sometime next year. This does not mean that all companies will surge, though. Investing now is a great risk, but by the time you know who will be the winners, everybody else will know. So, to get the high return, you'll have to take the high risk now.
