Using Agent at Immigration - good idea?
Sorry I’m one of those people who believes that time is worth more than money so I use an agent to make my life easier at any opportunity I can (just like in the UK, I use an accountant to file tax returns & a gardener to take care of my gardens). 1. Annual Extension 8K (have the 800K in the bank) + 4K for a multi reentry permit. 2. TM30 (when I moved condo) 500b. 3. 90 day report (1st one after getting back from an overseas trip) 100b (because I do my annual extension with them, 200b if not) … rest of them I do online. 4. Residency Certificate (opening bank account, driving licence etc…) 500b 5. UK Passport renewal 12K (+ 1K for them to arrange the transfer of the visa/permission to stay to the new passport). All 100% legit, I’m paying for a “Concierge” service not for somebody to “Bend the Rules”. One thing I would say to the OP is in all of the above Immigration interactions your agent needs to have your passport & in the case of annual extension of stay you have to go to Immigration to have your photo taken (my experience in Bangkok & Pattaya, your local IO office might have different rules) so if you need to be in-country even if using an agent. -

So let me get this straight — because crocodiles didn’t need vaccines, humans don’t either? Seriously? Crocodiles also don’t have electricity, medicine, or the internet — should we ditch all that too? Humans didn’t survive this long just by “adapting.” We made fire. We built cities. We cured diseases. That’s science. It’s not some optional luxury — it’s the reason we’re not all dying from infections or drinking filthy water. Stop pretending evolution alone got us here. Evolution gave us brains — science is how we used them to stop dying young. Comparing us to animals that haven’t changed in 200 million years isn’t clever. It’s lazy. You want to live like a crocodile? Be my guest. The rest of us are trying to stay healthy with the tools we actually have — like vaccines. I think you ought to think about extinctions and also human life expectancy - or do you think "to hell with them"? -

Happy Ending, or not?
Seems happy ending prices are going through the roof these days. Just been for a casual oil up down the local and the cheeky wench had the audacity to ask for 2,000 baht for a quick rub n tug. I said no thanks love, I'd rather do it myself, pulled up my drawers back on and left.. What's going on?? Don't they realize they lose money when they quote ridiculous prices for a spit n shine?? Sort it out, ladies. -

Gold, the undisputed "safe harbor". Or is it?
The price is a bit strong, but I I think they're cool, and at the current price, they break into grams or about $100 "coins". I bought some Joyalukkas Bars when I was working in Dubai that are also kind of cool. Beyond the investment value, gold is fun to have as well. After checking, the ones I have are these, which I think look a little cooler:
