Aegis Group, one of the world’s leading media and digital communications firms, is planning to form a joint venture in Burma early next year, reports the Bangkok-based daily The Nation. Aegis Media (Thailand) CEO Vichai Suphasomboon said the Aegis parent company, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, will form a joint venture with a local media agency in Burma by next March. The company also plans to open two new subsidiaries in Thailand in anticipation of the long-delayed introduction of 3G mobile connectivity next year.
