The wife and I have two Samsung phones (SIII and Cooper) and both devices lost the internet connection a couple of days ago. Both phones can "see" my wifi router but I'm no longer able to connect. What could be the reason?

Is it a problem with connecting to the router or a problem connecting to the internet?

Delete the router from you wifi list on the phones ("Forget ...") and restart the router. Try connecting again.

It's a problem to connect to the router. The internet connection is working well as I'm using my desktop PC for that.

I tried what you suggested and reentered the password but it did not help.

Try tweaking the advanced settings. It's possible something has modified either the proxy or IP settings. Press and hold the network and look for "Modify Network Config".

I don't think that's the problem since I'm able to access internet using "hotspots" in other areas.

Which is why I suggested looking at the config. for that particular network....

Is your desktop PC connected via Wifi also or an ethernet cable? If ethernet cable I can understand why you would still have an internet connection...sorry, just needed to ask this. But if not using a Wifi connection to your desktop and you haven't changed anything on your Wifi router over the last few days, like maybe the Wifi WEP/WPA password, maybe your Wifi router is the problem. Have you powered it down for a few seconds, turned it back on, and then tried to reconnect to your phones?

Thanks, switching the router off and on again worked. Why didn't I think of trying that myself?tongue.png
