^^ I said it before, & I'll say it again, your water shots are your forte. All the other stuff - buses, trucks, empty bottles etc are just incidentals. The shots of breaking waves etc are, IMO, superb and give you a great chance to showcase your talent.

Thanks, DAL.

Since there's no beach in CM, I think I'll go jump in puddles to create waves.....

Kompletely klogged klong.

Miles of water hyacinth around here.

When a flood comes it will all wash downstream and cause lots of problems.

The weight of it could even take out a bridge or three.

I have property along the Mekong in Kampooch and the klong to the

north always clogs at this time of year. The folks get into the water

and clear it with knives , machetes etc...then they haul it out & compost

it. Seems to work pretty good. I had a clogged klong once...had to go

see the doctor about it...cured quickly after 2.4 million units of ampicillin

were jammed into each lower cheek....Ouch!

Think yourself lucky he didn't prescribe knives and machetes.

Another deep pond.

post-12069-0-77953000-1405048930_thumb.j

This is where the fill comes from to build up the land when they build houses or whatever.

They dig big deep holes and cart away the soil and keep digging as deep as they can until the rains come and fill the hole then start on a new hole.

A different way to sell the farm, not exactly sustainable land use although they could use the ponds as fish farms but don't seem to.

Supposed to be waterfalls here but they tell me they haven't had decent rain for 2 years so all that is left are a few pools.

Nam Sam Lan National Park.

Hi. Pics were taken at Erawan Falls in the Erawan National Park ... which joins onto the better known Sai Yok National Park. According to my map they not the same park but my Thai companions thought they were in Sai Yok park. They are an hour or so northwest of Kanchanaburi. The falls are not overly spectacular out of heavy rain times .. but it is a pleasant if tiring mile walk into the jungle past a whole series of small pools and falls. The pools looked very inviting in the heat, hence hard to take pics without some flesh accidentally in view. I think the main allure for visitors is the pools.
