beechguy
I haven't been to KL, but have never been asked by the airlines when traveling in the region, and never asked for one by immigration. ubonjoe
Normally Air Asia does not ask. And immigration normally does not ask either. If you have any ticket out of Thailand that would work also. It does not have to be a return ticket to KL.
maibork
I do my visa runs always by air and until now, nobody asked about a return ticket.
lopburi3
Actually you never need a ticket if you have a visa - it is just for visa exempt entry that it may be an issue. Or for obtaining the visa from a Consulate.
darrendsd
I do my visa runs always by air and until now, nobody asked about a return ticket. Can I ask if you do this every 30 days and just get a Visa on arrival upon returning?
ubonjoe
It is not a visa on arrival that gives you 30 days it is a visa exempt entry. There is no limit on the number of times you can do it. But if you are spending the money for a flight out and back it would best to get a tourist visa that would give you 60 days for each entry that can be extended by 30 days at immigration. Nana Cowboy
That's a really costly way to get 30 days
Locationthailand
You can apply for a 90 day tourist visa at an offshore Embassy rather than fly in for a 30 day stamp. They may only give 60 but you can request 90. I have found Singapore Thai consulate (just off Scotts Road) the best for 90's. Round trip to SG at 8,000 better than the red bus to KL and far more leg room. Not much around KLIA to keep you happy all day and a long way from KLCC. Mario2008
A tourist visa is normally 60 days, (apart form a few nationals of countris who get 90 days on arrival), which can be extended by 30 days. There is no 90 day tourist visa that I know of.
lopburi3
As said a tourist visa is a tourist visa but your nationality will determine how long a stay it provides - in most cases this is 60 days that can then be extended 30 days at immigration with payment of 1,900 baht TM.7 fee but this is done during your stay - not on entry. Have seen many reports that would not rate Singapore highly for visa issue unless a national or resident of that country.
AlexDorneles
I always travel with Air Asia. On the flight back from Sri Lanka and Hanoi they (air asia) asked me for a ticket out of Thailand. When I came back from Cambodia just last week they didn't ask me for a ticket but I had purchased a ticket to Yangon for 53 bucks just in case.
