It was 38 degrees so this soi dog decided to sneak into 7/11 and enjoy the air conditioning. He couldn't be seen here from the counter.

Sally...our Golden Retriever/Yellow Lab mix at the local cabinet makers shop early

last year...after having found a mud puddle and a splashing laydown in it. The

village folks love her...especially the kids...We're hoping she'll soon mate with

Mooch, our black lab & newest member of our pack.

Here's the situation....I'm now in KL working the MH370 story.

Before I went to Vietnam on the story...yes I was there before

being sent to KL when the Viets pulled outta the search the first

time...the missus & I were in Ranong Town doing the usual

marketing and general shopping we do every few days. I had

one of me "little cameras" with me and notced this black pooch

sitting on the road. He looked OK, he needed a good feed for

some time though but OK nonetheless. So while the missus was

in a shop I crossed the road towards the dog and sat on the

"curb" a few feet from him. He looked like a Black Lab. He

didn't keep his distance very long and as I motioned him to come

he was already in stride...very friendly pooch...licks & paw pats

all over the place. I will make this short...

We asked around and seemingly he's a homeless soul like

many friendly street dogs are...we took him home and called

"our" vet. He got some shots and a pooch physical & we got

the bill. Now we have 5 dogs and as of this morning when the

missus resized the pic I shot of him & sent it to me...the other

mutts we have accepted him into our tribe.

We reckon he's gotta be a full blown Lab or 90% Lab & the rest

who knows. He's a good dog the missus assures me. And here

he is...on the curb the day I met the feller...

Sorry! I'm out of likes...but this was so heart-warming it deserves a bit more than pressing 'like'. Lovely story, and one very lucky dog. I hope he has a long and happy life with you and the rest of the pack.

^^^Thanks Rob....he really is a good guy and even though he's a tad bit over

This is "Wan", one of the dogs in our soi. A lovely, gentle natured hound, he's sort of adopted us....(or at least he knows he'll get fed here!). I'd like to give him a good bath...I think he'd take it OK, but I'm not too sure what I might find in his coat.
