Nakhon Si Thammarat - Having An Aida?

Featured Replies

Hello. Now i will look around Nakhon Si Thammarat province by rental car (street car, not 4WD) for around a week. What are your suggestions? I do have both Lonely Planet Thailand and Rough Guide Thailand (which is better for this area). At the Nakhon Si Thammarat office I already got some helpful brochures about many destinations around the area. I do speak a bit of tourist Thai - enough to deal with receptionists, khanom jin operators and curios locals. I have seen NST town already.

I certainly would like to see

- Khao Luang

- Khanom beaches + resorts

I would also like to hear your opinions on atmospheric villages and towns, nature experience, lonely-farang-avoidance and anything else that you found remarkable.

Of the many resorts around Khanom, maybe you could recommend a place that's good in these departments:

- rather natural, not tons of concrete

- good shadow

- windows with moscito netting, so that I can sleep with open window

- friendly, helpful

- good, light food and/or nice night food market nearby

- free-standing bungalows with a bit of distance to the next room to protect me from noisy neighbors

- ocean in earshot, better yet visible

- nice beach walks

- bicycles for rent (if useful)

- no karaoke noise

Not important: swimming pool, boat

Thanks!

So what's your say?

PS.

In the title i wanted to say "Idea", not "Aida".
