The province of Petchaburi (เพชรบุรี) will host the 9th Thailand International Kite Festival to celebrate His Majesty the King’s 60th anniversary of his accession to the throne. At the fair, you can see the world’s biggest kite and many other interesting and beautiful kites from all over the world.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand central office in the 2nd region together with Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) and Petchaburi Provincial Administration will hold the 9th Thailand International Kite Festival, to celebrate His Majesty’s 60th year to the throne. The event will help publicize and promote cooperation between various sectors in preserving and restoring Thailand’s unique cultures and traditions. Moreover, the event is aimed at drawing in more tourists to Petchaburi Province.

Visitors will be able to see kite displays from the four regions of the kingdom as well as from every corner of the globe. Some of the highlights include Chula and Pak Pao (ปักเป้า) Kites Competition, Sai Raew (สายเร็ว) Kite Contest, Kite-making tutorial, and painting contest.
