Rimmer
“No compensation but I want to punch you”. Road Rage caught on tape in Sattahip. SATTAHIP:--The driver of a Luxury SUV from Bangkok was involved in a minor road accident with a local man on Saturday and stated that instead of receiving compensation for minor damage caused to his vehicle, he would rather punch the motorbike driver. The incident was caught-on-camera and occurred in the Plu Ta Luang area and witnesses suggested newsjsthe SUV driver was showing off to his female partner. They were reluctant to stop the man as a badge on the front of his vehicle and the “look” of the man suggested he may be a senior member of the Thai Armed Forces. The case began when Khun Chirawat aged 28 and his elder sister Khun Wanna aged 47 were on their motorbike and driving to a local temple to celebrate the Chinese New Year. They were involved in a minor accident with a Bronze Mitsubishi Pajero Sport which sustained a small scratch to the front passenger door. So it's a average car, for an average family, don't you think? Build here in Thailand, its on the price level of a Camry. And all 'SUV's', based on trucks, will never made it to more as a pretty truck, I think! This is a pretty Triton. Ok, a luxury Triton! All passengers have aircon and a roof! Greer
Just wondering what the various commenters here would suggest as a luxury SUV...perhaps the Porche version...? The one that Top Gear lambasted as being the SUV you buy to prove beyond any shadow of a doubt that you have more money than sense...! Would you really take your Porche C-thing into the bush and get it all scratched up with tree branches scraping down the side, and getting buried in mud or sand, rocks smashing up the underside...? noob7
I have just Googled Pajero and the "Urban dictionery" explanation of the spannish meaning somewhat adds an interesting slant on why the driver may have been a bit edgy It's all in the Pajero page of the Wiki: "However, since pajero is an offensive term for "wanke_r" in Spanish,[2] alternative names have been used for many markets overseas. It is known as the Mitsubishi Montero (meaning "mountain hunter"[4]) in Spain, India, and the Americas (excepting Brazil), and as the Mitsubishi Shogun in the United Kingdom."
