Just a question about immigration for our Russian guest here in Phuket. Do they have the same visa as I do? 90 day Phuket immigration check in and or visa run ? A little bird told me that Phuket Immigration will not have a Russian speaking Tourist Police ever.

So how do they get Visa extension or better yet Who is getting this done for them.

The South American counties and south Korea reciprocate and offer 90 day visas to Thais.

Russian gets 30 days visa exempt stamps both by air and land.

For longer stay they have the same rules as everyone else.

Are you sure they get 30 days by land?

Yes Russia and Thailand has a bilateral agreement that allows it's citizen to enter 30 days visa free.

For more countries that have bilateral agreements, check here.

Bit off topic but is it finland that only get 14 days when the citizens come in by air? Im sure there is one scandinavian country that gets screwed if they dont apply for a tourist visa before coming to LOS

So just to be sure. Russians can do the Phuket-Burma run indefinitely just like we all could do in the old days?

Finland gets 30 days.

Maybe you are confused with the Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
