Furniture Suppliers

Folks

Sorry if this has been covered before but as a new kid on the block (forum), I hope you'll excuse me this time!

We are buying a house on Samui and want to check where you can get furniture - we have been to some of the local shops and prices seem steep & searching the net is not helping much either. Are there better options on the mainland eg within easy driving distance from Samui via Nathon or furtther afield eg Bangkok etc. Any advice (website, tel & fax number etc) would be very welcome.

Dave

When we bought our house we just asked anyone living near by for advice. That and a day of driving around stopping any where that had furniture yeiled results. Think of it as an adventure and enjoy your shopping.

There are several large furniture stores on the mainland in Surat Thani, mostly particle board type stuff but, one bonus is the termites don't seem to be interested. There are also a couple of teak furniture places in Surat as well.

Alternatively, drive over to Phuket, there are quite a few places there as well as a couple of second hand stores that can have some pretty nice stuff.
