New Visit At Bkk : Immigration At Subarnabhumi Airport

Featured Replies

Hi. I am ishtiaq from Bangladesh , I got thai visa from dhaka office and would like to visit thailand on next 14 March, 2013 . This is my first time .

Can any body suggest me that , how I will face immigration or any tips ? that i could easily pass out from immigration.

regards,

Ishtiaq

You got the visa. That's the hard part.

Just make sure that you take all the documentation that you used to apply for the visa with you when you come here, have a return ticket home, and answer any questions truthfully and you should be fine.

Thanks AYG,

For your prompt reply . I have used 1.) 6 months bank Statement 2) Visiting card and 3) Leave sanction from my office (I am working in a Bank) I have return ticket of DRUK Air. Any way unfortunately I have submitted all Original documents of 1 and 2 , I have no copies . Is it essential ? or can I arrange again ?

regards,

ishtiaq

Not essential. But if the immigration officer is suspicious he will want to see evidence relating to your application. If possible, try to get further copies of the documents concerned. Otherwise there's a risk (albeit a small risk) that you might be turned away when you arrive here.

However, don't stress too much. Even without the supporting evidence you should be OK.

Whatever happens, remain polite, respectful and positive - and firm if needs be.

I have gotten short and long term visas at various countries over the years. No one ever asks for the documents used to get the visa and if they try to be smart about it.....Just be strong and say to whomever: I received the visa and you just need to process it..

Enjoy your holiday here my friend - Dhaka was one of the places where a visa was needed for me - enjoyed the place.

The OP, being from Bangladesh will probably be under more scrutiny than someone from, say, England or the United States.

And a "you just need to process it" attitude won't help. A visa does not guarantee entry into the country. Entry is always at the discretion of the immigration officer.

That is what is wrong in this country, the word "discretion" if your'e documents are all in order, there should be no problem, and discretion should have nothing to do with it. But hey TIT.

For every country a visa is ONLY permission to travel. Odd but true.

Permission for entry is entirely at the discretion of the immigration officer.

You should have no problem if you show a return ticket, reasonable purpose for your visit and funds for your stay.
