I think that is just a brand name. Might need to look for other names but likely pharmacies have a substitute.

I would think the hospital supply places around town like on Suthep road would have them.

I know some ketogenic diet proponents in Thailand measure their ketones to see if they are fat burning

Ok... after visiting about 12 pharmacies around CM including the one in Sripat Uni hospital...

I've concluded that these are unavailable AND unheard of in Chiang Mai as are Keytones and Ketosis!

That is good to know so other people don't waste their time and depressing about Thailand all at the same time.

I guess order them and hope they make it thru customs.

I wonder if its worth contacting an endocrinologist office in Thailand to see if they can source them?

I think diabetics mostly use blood sugar now and Ketone measure is out of favor for diabetes type monitoring.

I searched for Ketostix high and low in Bangkok -- even asked doctors at Samitivej. Everybody tried to direct me to the meters used for diabetes. I do not have diabetes. I wanted the Ketostix to monitor ketones in urine to see if ketosis had kicked in as part of a low carb diet. I fianlly had to buy them from Amazon and have a friend send them over.

By the way, I have been on a low carb, zero sugar lifestyle for some six months now. I have gone from 80 kg to 59 kg. I am never hungry and have lost all the food cravings I had (that's the best part!). I used to want to eat large quantities of food. Getting away from all the factory processed simple carbs had an amazing effect on me. I get my carbs in natural vegetables and eat all the meat I want -- which is not as much as I used to be "driven" to eat.
