It’s time to get in shape once again as the 9th Mekong River International Multi - Sport ITU/ASTC Asian Cup. The competition will take place in Mukdaharn (มุกดาหาร) Province from the 24th to the 26th of March. Mukdaharn is located on the bank of the Mae Khong River opposite Suwannakhet in Laos, 642 kilometers from Bangkok.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand, together with the Municipality of Mukdaharn’s Muang District, the Triathlon Association of Thailand, and the Asian Triathlon Association, will host the 9th Mekong River International Multi - Sport ITU/ASTC Asian Cup. The contest will kick off near the Indo-China Gateway in Muang District of Mukdaharn Province.

This is one of the sport tourism activities that will act as a liaison between the countries located along the Mekong River including Thailand, China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Lao, and Cambodia. Meanwhile, Mukdaharn Province is launching a tourism project called “Mukda-Usakanay (มุกดา อุษาคเนย์) Tourism 2006).

The competitions comprise of
