I would like to know the cheapest method for calling to China. Please keep this in the Phuket forum as I seem to recall a few years back that international calling cards were available & someone might suggest this is the best & cheapest & where to buy them. Not sure if you can use Skype in China, & besides, the internet connection may not be that good.

If internet there is not good you can still use Skype to call their mobile number or landline. Costs peanuts.

Yes, I agree with that. But calling a land line number is usually much cheaper than a mobile number.

Yes, I agree with that. But calling a land line number is usually much cheaper than a mobile number.

Both land line and mobile: excluding VAT 1,9 cents Euro per minute, excluding VAT. That is for Skype credit, which I use, with subscriptions it gets even cheaper per minute. My Skype account is in Euro's, hence the price in Euros.

Unlimited worldwide calls are 10,49 per month (Euros, ex VAT).

Thanks for the comments. I thought Skype was not available but last night I spoke with my daughter using video call. We have now set times to contact.
