Used to raise Golden retrievers, the most that I had was 23.. I now have a 10 year old golden retriever, a 12 year old golden Lab and 8 Thai mutts, one with only 3 legs.

Xoloitzquintli aka mexican hairless. Evolved in the Yucatan jungle. Great dog for Thailand. They love the heat, are hairless so you don't need to worry about them bringing in fleas, super clean and are good alarm dogs. Totally mellow except when there's something going on in the moo ban.

I have a yellow Labrador with the typical temperament: placid, gentle, friendly, sometimes goofy, can be smart but prefers to play dumb, likes licking any humans and do not stand between it and a miniscule biscuit crumb.

Thai Ridgeback dog, Mah Thai Lang Ahn. I compare their behaviour a bit with the Rodesian ridgeback dog

Is that good or bad?

I had bad experiences with them in Spain, very bad against other dogs, the owners had to keep them very short whilst walking.

But, as far as I know through Google they need a strong owner and that's my experience with the Thai (breed giggle.gif ) as well.

Dogue De Bordeaux, aka French Mastiff. Had some problems with his diet last year but he has snapped out of it and now weighs a healthy 62 kilos. Super friendly, very soft, but extremely protective and good guard dog - a trait I embrace as last year he was scared of his own shadow for some reason.

I would love an American Bulldog also but not aware of a breeder in Thailand.
