[Myanmar] France Signs Mou To Provide Burma Aid

Agence Française de Développement (AFD), the main implementing agency for France’s official development assistance to developing countries, signed a memorandum of understanding with Burma’s  Ministry of National Planning and Economic Development in Naypyidaw on Saturday. According to Burmese state-run media reports on Sunday, AFD has agreed to provide infrastructure for rural development, food security, agricultural development, health, water supply and sanitation. The signing of the agreement took place during a visit to Burma by France’s minister of development and foreign affairs, Pascal Canfin.
