Burma will team up with China, Laos and Thailand next month in a joint campaign against drug-related crimes in the Mekong River region, CCTV.com reports. During the two-month campaign, which is set to begin on April 20, law enforcement officials from the four countries will collaborate to solve major trans-regional cases along the river and break narcotics production chains. They will also target transportation networks. Representatives from each country met in Bangkok on Thursday for a launch event, according to the report by CCTV, a major state television broadcaster in China.
